celebration of New Haven students’ in an end-of-year graduation from an after-school technology program operated by The Justice Education Center’s Career at Eli Whitney Technical High School in Hamden, Tuesday, May 24, 2016. "“These students travel from traditional and non-traditional schools throughout the city of New Haven to attend the Career Pathways TECH Collaborative. They receive important hands-on training in the fields of plumbing, weatherization, manufacturing and culinary arts”, said Mayor Harp. “Their extraordinary commitment to enter technology careers and their hard work and dedication deserve to be recognized and celebrated. The Career Pathways TECH Collaborative, developed and operated by The Justice Education Center, Inc., is a public/private partnership with the City of New Haven and its YouthStat initiative, the New Haven Board of Education, Eli Whitney Technical High School, the Department of Justice, the Connecticut Business and Industry Association/CBIA Education Foundation, the Charter Oak Group, and the Integrated Wellness Group," according to a New Haven City Hall press release.
